By the time Angela Bofill began working on her fourth album, “Too Tough” in 1982, she had already established herself in the growing set of female vocalists whose music could best be described as a fusion of R&B, pop and jazz – think Randy Crawford, Phyllis Hyman, Jean Carne and Dee Dee Bridgewater. What distinguished her from some of her contemporaries was the degree of success: none of her peers had experienced the kind of sales that Angela had: her first two critically-acclaimed albums (“Angie” and “Angel Of The Night”) for then-Arista Records-distributed GRP Records having landed in the Top 40. Both the songs on this 7" single are BONUS TRACKS recorded in 1982 that were not included on the album.
