Expansion present the coolest pairing of Soul and Jazz artists with a couple of extraordinary original songs fresh for 7” vinyl. Guida de Palma and her group Jazzinho are from Lisbon, Portugal. Musically she is between the jazz of Flora Purim and the soul of The Emotions, and her new album with Jazzinho also features members of the UK’s Incognito. The first pairing is with Bluey, and his Incognito Lounge Mix is exclusive here on vinyl (it’s currently download only).
“A Seed In You” finds Guida alongside Soul legend Leon Ware on one of the classiest recordings of the year, already enjoying play on the soul and jazz music airwaves.
Guida de Palma plays RICHMIX in London, 28th Feb, with Leon Ware in the UK to make his debut live appearance at Ronnie Scoots March 7th/8th. “A Seed In You” will also feature on Leon’s new album for Expansion, “Liquid Carpet”
